The pilot ascolano disqualified during the Moto2 race at Misano after an absurd maneuver against Stefano Manzi. Here is the video of the moment.
Folly of Romano Fenati during the Moto2 race at Misano. The pilot ascolano, engaged in a duel without excluding shots with Stefano Manzi, at one point of the race has joined the rival in full straight, sticking his arm to try to operate the front brake of the opponent’s bike. He could definitely end in the worst way. Here is the short video of the moment
Following this unjustifiable and incomprehensible act, as well as decidedly dangerous given the high speed held at that time by the two pilots, Romano Fenati was immediately recalled to the pits with the exposure of the race flag. Then he was disqualified for the next two races . It is not the first time that the Italian rider ends up in the middle of the storm due to improper handling on the track: we remember the Argentinian Grand Prix in 2015, when he kicked Niklas Ajo during the warm up. Here the reaction of Stefano Manzi: “Better if I do not meet him …” Romano Fenati defended himself at the microphone of the Spanish Movistar TV: “For twice Manzi had made incorrect maneuvers”. The race direction imposed on Manzi the penalty of six positions on the grid of the next GP at Aragon, in two weeks ( here the details )
