Smartphones increasingly need power and storage space, which increases the cost of production and increases the value charged to the consumer. To avoid this escalation in prices, Google has created a lighter version of Android Oreo, which it called Android Oreo Go, which runs with less RAM and takes up less space in the internal memory.
The idea is that this version is installed on simpler devices and therefore cheaper. We already have some models like this in Brazil, and recently Motorola brought the Moto E5 Play edition Android Go , which follows more or less this line.
Cell TudoC has tested the device and our conclusion is not very favorable to the device. The impression is that Motorola cut the costs of the device too much, but nevertheless opted to offer it to the Brazilian consumer for a high price, being the suggested one of R $ 799.
The device is very weak, and is not worth much more than $ 600. And look there. The screen is poor, the range and camera are weak, and the performance is just ok. It could be an option for anyone who wants a modest device and spend little, but the price is high. The way is to expect the value to drop quite a bit in retail.
