One of the most anticipated releases of the second half of this year is the new OnePlus 6T . Because of this, some rumors about the device began to appear on the web showing the possible visual and even some specifications that should be shipped on the device.
Now to further boost the expectations of its fans, OnePlus itself has used social networking to confirm that its next high-end smartphone will arrive on the shelves with a fingerprint sensor underneath its screen . The company even sent a statement to Cnet:
We unlock our phones several times a day and Unlock on screen reduces the number of steps to complete the action. By adding this feature as an option to other unlock methods – such as Face Recognition – users will have options to unlock the device in a way that is more efficient for them
OnePlus also took the opportunity to comment that it intended to include this feature in OnePlus 5T . However, the technology was not yet mature enough to debut commercially in the market. Because of this, the Chinese ended postponing this release for the 6T variant.
the technology was not mature enough to meet [OnePlus’] standards to provide a quick and easy user experience
With the official confirmation of the new feature, one of the changes we can expect in the OnePlus 6T is that the device should get a little thicker than OnePlus 6 . In addition, the company must redesign the inside to accommodate the new technology.
- 6.4-inch OLED screen with Full HD + resolution and drop notch
- Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 Processor
- 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage
- Three 12MP rear cameras (variable aperture f / 1.5-f / 2.4) + 20 MP + TOF 3D
- 25 MP front camera with AI enhancements
- Two-cell battery of 1,850 mAh resulting in the equivalent of 3,700 mAh
- Fast Charge 50W DashCharge (40% in 10 minutes)
For now, despite the official statement, OnePlus has not yet expressed a possible release date . Even so, previous rumors have pointed out that the company should officialize the 6T sometime in October.
